After five years of teaching on the east coast, Amanda moved to Colorado to retire from 16 years of dentistry and fully devote herself to yoga. Actively practicing yoga since the late 90s and teaching since 2010, she became a Registered Yoga Instructor in 2014 through Sol Yoga in Frederick, Maryland and an active member of the yoga alliance. She is also trained in Vinyasa flow, gentle yoga, meditation and Ayurveda.
Amanda believes in the philosophy of living a life full of joy, gratitude, and free of judgement. This intention helps guide her teachings as well as her yoga practice. The foundation of Amanda’s classes combines the physical, emotional and spiritual to help her students reach their full potential.
She is experienced in teaching all levels of yoga, including: children, pre-natal, yoga body sculpt and addiction recovery. She is currently broadening her studies in Ayurveda, as well as restorative and aerial yoga.
Amanda currently resides in Manitou Springs with her Boston Terrier, Roxy. When not teaching or continuing her education and personal practice, you can find them on many of the Colorado trails and traveling as often as they can. Last summer she completed the famous Manitou Incline for the first time – anything is possible! She loves hanging with friends, enjoying good food, great company and fine wine.
She looks forward to meeting each one of you!
