Jennifer Collins

Jen found her passion for fitness and nutrition when she gained the “Freshman 40” instead of the “Freshman 15”. She knew then that she had to make some changes. Through nutrition and having a personal trainer herself she lost the weight in no time. It was then that she decided to turn her hobby into a career of helping others be the best version of themselves.

Jen has been a NASM Certified Personal Trainer and ACE Certified Group Exercise Instructor for six years. She began training by starting and running her own all female bootcamps called Texas Fit Chicks. In just two-and-half years she had over 150 women go through her camps. Once she graduated college with a B.S. in Health Promotion, she began implementing Corporate Wellness and Fitness Programs for companies such as Halliburton, Shell Oil and Gas and Progressive Insurance. She has worked with many different types of clients and fitness levels over the years. Jen thoroughly enjoys continuing to learn about different types people, injury prevention, lifestyle factors and other contributions to overall better health.

She likes to focus on functional fitness training styles to help prepare the body for real- life movements and activities, such as squatting, reaching, pulling and lifting. She does this by exercising in all planes and incorporating resistance training and quick cardio bursts to keep the heart rate elevated throughout the session.

Jen loves the outdoors and enjoys running and hiking. She tries to run at least two half marathons a year trying to beat her time race after race. In 2017 Jen received 3rd place as a Bikini Competitor in the Muscle Beach Classics in Galveston, Texas.
